Running around London on a Tuesday

Woo! So Tuesday’s London visit was wonderful. I was abuzz all day with excitement for the night’s festivities-going to see Les Miserables in the West End at the Queen’s Theatre. Yay!

Eeeeeeee!

We woke up early to get our 4 mile run in, then took the train to Victoria Station. The show obviously wasn’t until much later (7:30) so we spent the day wandering and doing all sorts of fun things!

Checking out the Tower Bridge…

as well as the Tower of London (but not actually paying to go in-maybe next time-17 pounds! For real!).

Hanging out by the Thames…

Riding around on the tube…

Eating a delicious, multiple course lunch at some little Lebanese restaurant in Kensington that had AMAZING falafel (I love any place that starts you out with a big ol’ bowl of olives to munch on while you wait) …

Spent the afternoon wandering around the British Museum…

before eventually making our way to our pre-theatre dinner at Bincho, a delicious Japanese restaurant, for skewers, miso soup, and rice.

And then it was time, and as we sat in waiting, I snapped a final picture of this in anticipation…

SO GOOD. I love this show. I could, and hope to, see it a million times more. Okay, maybe not a million, but you know what I mean. I have spent the past two days repeatedly singing all the songs in my lackluster version. love.

Also, the British Museum has an envious library-one I would like to call my own.

A fantastic day…one for the record books.  In a little over a week I’ll be playing guide to Miss Marisa-I can hardly wait! We will definitely be doing some museum hopping, and I’m hoping to fit a show in as well. We shall see.
