A festive Saturday in London at Christmastime

big ben london 2013 buckingham palace After a surprisingly responsible Friday night out, Jon and I managed to get up and get going early-ish on Saturday morning for a day out in London. After standing for the full train journey-ugggggg-we arrived in London and did the teensiest bit of shopping, had a fantastic sushi lunch, walked around until our feet hurt, had a fantastic Thai dinner ( there’s a theme here…), and enjoyed all the hustle and bustle (and twinkle and sparkle) that makes up London in December. We had planned to make our annual trip to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, but with lines over an hour long just to get in, we decided to give it a pass for now. I’m not waiting that long just to eat some bratwurst, drink mulled wine, and fight crowds for Christmas tchotchkes! We may try again during the Christmas/New Year break. In which case I will obviously take pictures and drink mulled wine and avoid all the carnival rides. Fingers crossed that it comes together. christmas in london green park london santacon london2013 picadilly circus christmas 2013 christmas london
